The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) aims to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds. India, a founding member of KPCS, was also selected to chair the Ad Hoc Committee on Review Reforms to improve the scheme. The Indian delegation proposed measures to enhance the security and efficiency of the KP, including better enforcement and technological solutions to distinguish between natural and lab-grown diamonds.
