        The Monthly Account of the Government of India upto October 2017 has been consolidated and reports published. Highlights of the same are given below:-

        The Government of India has received ₹ 7,67327 crore (47.9% of corresponding BE 17-18 of Total Receipts) upto October 2017 comprising ₹ 6,33,617 crore Tax Revenues (Net to Centre), ₹ 95,151 crore of Non-Tax Revenues and ₹ 38,559 crore of Non-Debt Capital Receipts. Non-Debt Capital Receipts consists of Recovery of Loans (Rs. 8,394 crore) and Disinvestment of PSUs (Rs. 30,165 crore).

        Rs.3,37,280 crore has been transferred to the State Governments as Devolution of Share of Taxes by Government of India in this period.

        Total Expenditure incurred by Government of India is ₹ 12,92,648 crore (60.2% of corresponding BE 17-18), out of which ₹ 11,29,853 crore is on Revenue Account and ₹ 1,62,795 crore is on Capital Account. Out of the total Revenue Expenditure,Rs.2,57,909 crore is on account of Interest Payments and ₹ 1,91,336 crore is on account of Major Subsidies.

Central government receipts up to October comprise tax revenues net to the Centre, non tax revenues and Non Debt Capital Receipts (loan recoveries and disinvestment proceeds), with a significant portion transferred as Devolution of Share of Taxes to states. Total expenditure is divided into Revenue Expenditure and Capital Expenditure, with interest payments and major subsidies as the principal components of revenue outlays.
