<h1>Reference rate for US Dollar used to derive cross currency rupee exchange rates and determine the SDR Rupee rate.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India publishes a reference rate for the US Dollar which functions as the benchmark for deriving rupee exchange rates of other currencies; using that USD reference rate and middle cross currency quotes, the RBI provides rupee rates for the euro, pound sterling and Japanese yen, and specifies that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the reference rate.
