<h1>India's WPI for Primary Articles Rises by 0.4%; Food Prices Up, Non-Food and Minerals Slightly Down.</h1> The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) for primary articles in India increased by 0.4% to 192.4 for the week ending May 14, 2011, with an annual inflation rate of 11.60%. The 'Food Articles' group saw a 0.6% rise due to higher prices of poultry, jowar, and other items, while the 'Non-Food Articles' group decreased by 0.2% due to lower prices of fodder and raw silk. The 'Minerals' group slightly declined by 0.1%. The WPI for 'Fuel & Power' remained unchanged at 160.1, with an annual inflation rate of 12.11%.
