<h1>Stand Up India Scheme 2016: 21,735 Entrepreneurs Funded, 80.67% Women, Rs. 4747.95 Crore Loans Distributed.</h1> In 2016, the Stand Up India Scheme provided loans to 21,735 entrepreneurs, totaling Rs. 4747.95 crore. The distribution was 15.05% for Scheduled Caste (SC), 4.28% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), and 80.67% for women. The scheme aims to offer at least two bank loans per branch of Scheduled Commercial Banks to SC/ST and women entrepreneurs for establishing greenfield enterprises. No state-wise targets were set. This information was disclosed by the Minister of State for Finance in a written response in the Rajya Sabha.
