Commerce and Industry Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman has said Government will engage constructively with US and other countries to resolve the visa issues. Speaking at the MindMine Summit in New Delhi today she said India has already submitted its proposal on Trade Facilitation in Services in WTO and want member countries to study the proposal.The Minister said that she does not believe that Globalisation is in retreat as we are linked deeply with other economies.On the currency volatility she said the strength of the rupee is also a reflection of strength of the economy and is one of the factors in growth of exports. Smt. Sitharaman said better infrastructure and removal of bottlenecks are necessary for exports. She said Government is ready to implement new ideas so that young people don’t loose out in the global market.
Trade facilitation in services: government seeks multilateral study of India's WTO proposal and engagement to resolve visa issues.
