<h1>Cabinet Approves Six-Laning of Ahmedabad-Vadodara NH-8 Section in Gujarat to Boost Connectivity and Employment.</h1> The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure has approved the six-laning of the 102.3 km Ahmedabad-Vadodara section of National Highway NH-8 in Gujarat under the National Highways Development Project Phase V. The project, costing approximately Rs. 2537.76 crore, will be executed on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) basis with a concession period of 25 years, including a 36-month construction phase. This development aims to enhance infrastructure in Gujarat, boost connectivity between major cities, and increase employment opportunities. The project is part of a larger initiative to upgrade 6500 km of national highways, including the Golden Quadrilateral.
