<h1>India Approves ADB's Study for East Coast Economic Corridor, Including Puducherry Node in Development Plan.</h1> The Government of India has approved the involvement of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to conduct a feasibility study and develop a Conceptual Development Plan for the East Coast Economic Corridor (ECEC), which will connect Kolkata through Chennai to Tuticorin. ADB has completed the report for the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) and initiated master planning for Visakhapatnam and Srikalahasti-Yerpedu nodes. ADB approved $631 million for infrastructure development along VCIC. The Government of Puducherry has proposed to include Puducherry as a node in ECEC, and ADB has agreed to conduct a feasibility study.
