These deposits were found in locations such as Kolkata, Midnapore, Ara, Kochi, and Varanasi. In Bihar, Rs. 40 lakh was seized from one account. The Central Board of Direct Taxes warns account holders against allowing their accounts to be misused, as they may face consequences for tax evasion. Detected undisclosed income will be taxed under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
