of <h1>Board Approves 13 New SEZs: IT, Biotech, and Electronics Parks in India, Boosting Investment and Job Creation.</h1> The Board of Approval for Special Economic Zones (SEZs) granted 10 formal and 3 in-principle approvals. Among the formal approvals are IT/ITES SEZs in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh, a biotechnology park in Maharashtra, and a free trade warehousing zone in Tamil Nadu. In-principle approvals include multi-product SEZs in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, and an electronics and electrical products SEZ in Tamil Nadu. To date, 395 SEZs have received formal approvals, with 156 notified, attracting investments of Rs.50,906 crore and creating over 72,168 jobs.
