Courts have disposed of 163 cases, resulting in 77 convictions with penalties including imprisonment and fines for directors. The SFIO's operations have incurred expenditures totaling approximately 38.18 crore over the same period. To combat corporate fraud, the government has strengthened SFIO's capabilities, defined 'fraud' in the Companies Act, 2013, and enhanced technology use for fraud detection.
