<h1>RBI Limits Cash Withdrawals Post-Demonetization: Max Rs. 10,000 Daily, Rs. 20,000 Weekly Until Review on Nov 24, 2016.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India announced restrictions on cash withdrawals following the demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes. From November 10, 2016, individuals could withdraw a maximum of Rs. 10,000 per day and Rs. 20,000 per week from bank accounts. These limits were set to be reviewed after November 24, 2016. Exceptions to these restrictions included transactions between banks, post offices, money changers at international airports, and operators of White Label ATMs. Banks with currency chests were instructed to supply cash to nearby branches, and deposits of the demonetized notes into accounts were permitted with required reporting.
