RBI Updates Reference Rates: USD at Rs. 66.3618, Euro at Rs. 74.6902, GBP at Rs. 89.0376, Yen at Rs. 65.46.

The Reserve Bank of India set the reference rate for the US Dollar at Rs. 66.3618 on September 7, 2016, down from Rs. 66.5469 on September 6, 2016. The exchange rates for the Euro, British Pound, and Japanese Yen against the Indian Rupee were also updated. On September 7, 2016, 1 Euro equaled Rs. 74.6902, 1 British Pound was Rs. 89.0376, and 100 Japanese Yen stood at Rs. 65.46. These rates are determined based on the US Dollar reference rate and the middle rates of cross-currency quotes. The Special Drawing Rights (SDR) to Rupee rate will follow this reference rate.
