Shri Sudarshan Sen has taken over as the new Executive Director at the Reserve Bank of India today. He will look after Department of Banking Regulation, Department of Co-operative Bank Regulation and Department of Non-Banking Regulation.

Shri Sen, a career central banker who has long association with bank supervision and regulation, was in charge of the Department of Banking Regulation before taking over as Executive Director. He has also been Regional Director of Ahmedabad office of the Reserve Bank.

Shri Sudarshan Sen holds an MBA in International Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham, UK. He also holds a master’s degree in Science.
