<h1>India Approves Viability Gap Funding for Rajasthan Highway and Power Transmission Projects at 71st EI Meeting.</h1> The Empowered Institution (EI), part of the Government of India's scheme for financial support to Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in infrastructure, approved Viability Gap Funding (VGF) for two projects in Rajasthan during its seventy-first meeting. Chaired by the Additional Secretary (Investment) of the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, the meeting granted in-principle approval for a road sector project involving the development and operation of the Chomu Chandwaji Highways Project. Additionally, final approval was given for VGF support for a power sector project, specifically the 400 kV Bikaner-Sikar Transmission Line Project.
