The corresponding rate for the previous day (May 03, 2016) was ₹ 66.2698.

Reference exchange rate published by the central bank informs cross currency rates and determines the SDR Rupee valuation. The Reserve Bank of India published the reference rate for the US Dollar and the prior day's figure, provided corresponding euro, sterling and yen exchange rates derived from cross currency middle rates, and stated that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on that reference rate.
