As per the estimates of the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the per capita net national income of the country at current prices for the year 2015-16 is estimated to attain the level of ₹ 93231/-. The per capita net national income at constant (2011-12) prices for the year 2015-16 is estimated to attain the level of ₹ 77, 431/-.

As per the CSO’s estimates, the per capital net national income at current prices increased from ₹ 71050/- in 2012-13 to ₹ 79412/- in 2013-14 and further to ₹ 86,879/- in 2014-15. The per capita net national income at constant (2011-12) prices increased from ₹ 65,664/- in 2012-13 to ₹ 68867/- in 2013-14 and further to ₹ 72889 in 2014-15.

This was stated by Shri Jayant Sinha, Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha.

Per capita net national income rises at current and constant prices, CSO estimates continue recent upward trend. Per capita net national income at current and constant (2011-12) prices for 2015-16 is estimated by the Central Statistics Office to have increased, continuing an upward trend observed in CSO time-series data from 2012-13 through 2014-15; these estimates were reported by the Minister of State for Finance in a written parliamentary reply.
