Of these, 66 were listed on stock exchanges. The total authorized capital for public and private limited companies was Rs. 8,826.80 crore and Rs. 22,953.93 crore, respectively. The distribution of these companies across various states and union territories shows significant activity in sectors like agriculture, industry, and services. Maharashtra, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh had the highest number of registered companies, with Maharashtra and Delhi also leading in industrial and service sectors.
