Between fiscal years 2011-2015, it contributed USD 22.5 billion in taxes and supported 411,000 jobs, either directly or indirectly, in the fiscal year 2015. This information was disclosed by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
