<h1>RBI Census Reveals Major FDI Sources: Mauritius, USA, UK; Key ODI Destinations: Singapore, Mauritius; Manufacturing & Services Lead.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India released data from the 2014-15 Census on Foreign Liabilities and Assets of Indian Direct Investment Companies. The census included 17,642 companies, with 16,242 reporting foreign direct investment (FDI) or overseas direct investment (ODI). Most companies were unlisted, with a significant share of FDI equity capital. Mauritius, the USA, and the UK were major FDI sources, while Singapore and Mauritius were key ODI destinations. The manufacturing and services sectors attracted substantial foreign equity. Total sales of overseas subsidiaries rose by 12.6%, while imports and exports of foreign subsidiaries in India also saw notable increases.
