<h1>Banks Urged to Restore Services in Flood-Hit Chennai; Mobile ATMs Deployed, Extended Hours Implemented for Relief Efforts.</h1> The Department of Financial Services, under the Ministry of Finance, held a review meeting with public and private sector banks to address banking services in flood-affected areas of Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Banks were instructed to promptly restore services and ensure ATMs and other facilities operate continuously. They were also requested to deploy mobile ATMs and PoS machines via Bank Mitras using boats or other means. Additionally, banks in these areas will remain open on Sundays and extend business hours to meet the needs of affected residents.
