        Commerce Secretary Ms. Rita A Teaotia today inaugurated the ‘Advantage Health Care India, 2015” , an international summit on Medical Value Travel. This has been organized by the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) from 5th to 7th October, 2015 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi with the aim of promoting healthcare services exports from India.

        Speaking on the occasion, the Commerce Secretary said that the purpose of this International Summit in India is to reach out to countries and people in various regions of the world for collaborations and capacity- building in the healthcare sector so that this can benefit medical value travelers from various nations in the long run.

        Ms. Teaotia added that Government is making effort to promote India as a Premier Global Healthcare Destination and to enable streamlined medical services exports from India which is a unique conglomeration of the 5 T’s – Talent, Tradition, Technology, Tourism and Trade. It will showcase India and its immense pool of medical capabilities as well as create opportunities for healthcare collaborations between the participating countries.

        Commerce Secretary expressed the hope that the deliberations at “Advantage Healthcare India – 2015 “ would not only reflect the voice of the sector, but also bring crucial stakeholders together to think alike and initiate a new campaign to create a roadmap for seamless Medical Value Travel to India.

        The salient features of the 1st edition of ADVANTAGE HEALTH CARE INDIA – 2015 are Exhibition, Reverse Buyer Seller Meets (RBSM), B-2-B Meetings, Conference, Regional Forums, Knowledge Sharing Program along with Organised Hospital Visits to the visiting Delegations.

        The event will witness the hosted delegations of more than 500 International Delegates from around 65 countries of Africa, Middle East, West Asia, CIS and ASIA (including SAARC) with an objective to develop strategic partnership in the medical and integrated healthcare sector between India and countries of the various regions and also to promote quality healthcare services exports from India available at reasonable prices across a wide range of specialized medical streams.
