        An Increase of 46.2% Registered During the month of April 2015 Over the Corresponding Period in the Previous Year;
        Customs Collections Registered an Increase of 23.6% while Service Tax Collections Registered an Increase of 21.2% During the Same Period

        Indirect Tax Revenue (Provisional) Collections increase from Rs. 32,661 Crore in April, 2014 to Rs. 47,747 Crore during April 2015, thus registering an Increase of 46.2% during the month of April 2015 over the corresponding period in the previous year. This is an achievement of 7.4 % of the target fixed for BE 2015-16. 

        Central Excise collections have increased from ₹ 8,655 crore in April, 2014 to ₹ 18,373 crore during April, 2015 registering an increase of 112.3 %.  This is an achievement of 8.1% of the target fixed at BE 2015-16.

         Customs collections have increased from Rs.11,555 crore during April, 2014 to Rs.14,286crore during April, 2015 registering an increase of  23.6  %. This is an achievement of 6.9 % of the target fixed for BE 2015-16. 

        Service Tax collections have increased from ₹ 12,451 crore in April, 2014 to Rs. 15,088 crore during April, 2015 registering an increase of 21.2 %. This is an achievement of 7.2 % of the target fixed at BE 2015-16.
