<h1>April 2015 Sees 46.2% Surge in Indirect Tax Revenue; Central Excise Leads with 112.3% Growth.</h1> Indirect tax revenue collections in April 2015 increased by 46.2% compared to April 2014, rising from Rs. 32,661 crore to Rs. 47,747 crore. Central excise collections saw the most significant growth, increasing by 112.3% from Rs. 8,655 crore to Rs. 18,373 crore. Customs collections rose by 23.6%, from Rs. 11,555 crore to Rs. 14,286 crore, while service tax collections increased by 21.2%, from Rs. 12,451 crore to Rs. 15,088 crore. These figures represent achievements of 7.4%, 8.1%, 6.9%, and 7.2% respectively, of the targets set for the fiscal year 2015-16.
