<h1>Nine Agro and Food Processing SEZs Approved Since 2006, Four Currently Exporting Across India.</h1> Since the SEZs Act and Rules were notified in 2006, nine Special Economic Zones for Agro and Food Processing have received formal approvals, with eight being notified and four currently exporting. These SEZs are established across various states, including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Kerala, Karnataka, and others. SEZs can be set up by the Central or State Government or private entities for manufacturing goods or services. They benefit from fiscal incentives and duty concessions. This information was provided by the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
