In pursuance to Section 46(2) of the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act 2014. The Ministry of Finance, Government of India has decided to provide financial support of ₹ 2303 crore to Government of Andhra Pradesh to bridge the resource gap of the Financial Year 2014-15. Ministry of Finance had earlier released an amount of ₹ 500 crore as an adhoc grant to bridge the resource gap. Now, an additional/balance amount of ₹ 1803 crore has been released for this purpose on 31st March, 2015.

Financial assistance under Section 46(2) bridges Andhra Pradesh resource gap; balance released by central government to state. Pursuant to the reorganisation Act provision, the Ministry of Finance allocated financial support to Andhra Pradesh to bridge the 2014-15 resource gap, issuing an initial ad hoc grant and later releasing the balance of the authorised assistance at the end of the financial year to complete the allocation.
