<h1>New Guidelines for Appointing MDs and CEOs at Five Public Sector Banks: Experience and Age Criteria Highlighted.</h1> The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved new guidelines for selecting Managing Directors and Chief Executive Officers for five public sector banks: Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Bank of India, Canara Bank, and IDBI Bank. Eligible candidates, whether from governmental or non-governmental backgrounds, must have at least 15 years of mainstream banking experience, including three years at the Board level. Candidates should be aged between 45 and 55 years and will serve a fixed three-year term, subject to a retirement age of 60.
