<h1>India's Indirect Tax Revenue Grows 7.4% in April-Jan 2015; Customs, Service Tax, and Excise Collections Rise.</h1> Indirect tax revenue collections in India increased by 7.4% from Rs. 3,98,238 crore in April-January 2014 to Rs. 4,27,822 crore in April-January 2015. Customs collections rose by 8.7%, reaching Rs. 1,55,248 crore, while service tax collections increased by 8.3% to Rs. 1,32,290 crore. Central excise collections also saw a 5.3% rise, totaling Rs. 1,40,284 crore. These figures represent achievements of 76.9%, 61.3%, and 68.3% of the budget estimates for 2014-15 for customs, service tax, and central excise, respectively.
