Publication of a reference exchange rate for the US dollar establishes the official Rupee conversion benchmark for the stated date, and, using that reference with middle cross currency quotes, derives Rupee rates for the euro, pound sterling and Japanese yen; the SDR Rupee rate is declared to be based on this reference rate.
