<h1>National Pension System Subscribers Double Since 2012; Assets Surge to Rs. 30,000 Crores with 26 States Participating.</h1> The National Pension System (NPS) has seen significant growth, with subscribers doubling from 11.5 lakh to 23 lakh since April 2012, and assets under management increasing from Rs. 3,300 crores to approximately Rs. 24,000 crores. The number of states participating in NPS rose from 12 to 26. The Pension Fund Regulatory Development Authority (PFRDA) is focusing on efficient fund management, grievance handling, and risk mitigation. State governments are encouraged to update employee information regularly and address legacy contributions. The NPS now has 76 lakh subscribers, with the state government sector accounting for 23 lakh subscribers and assets of Rs. 30,000 crores.
