The corresponding rate for the previous day (November 12, 2014) was ₹ 61.4785.

Reference rate for US dollar establishes the rupee benchmark and underpins cross currency and SDR rupee calculations. Publication of the Reference Rate for the US dollar by the Reserve Bank sets the official rupee exchange benchmark and, using that reference with middle cross currency quotes, supplies rupee rates for the euro, pound sterling and the yen; the SDR Rupee rate is stated to be based on the published reference rate.
