Wholesale Price Index shows rising primary articles and fuel & power inflation driven by food, minerals and fuel price increases. Wholesale Price Index movements for the week ended 20 November 2010 show increases in Primary Articles and Fuel & Power, with Primary Articles driven by rises in food (fish-marine, milk), non-food (flowers, oilseed items) and minerals (copper ore, zinc concentrate). Fuel & Power rose mainly on higher aviation turbine fuel. The release reports point-to-point annual inflation rates and tabulates weekly, year-to-date and year-on-year builds for subgroups and key items, highlighting divergent price pressures across food, raw materials and energy components that sustain elevated wholesale inflation.
