<h1>India-Canada Investment Talks Stalled After 14 Rounds; CEPA Negotiations Ongoing with Eight Rounds Completed.</h1> India and Canada have been negotiating a Bilateral Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (BIPA), which remains unresolved following 14 rounds of discussions, the last in April 2010. Talks are paused as India reviews the BIPA model text. Meanwhile, both countries initiated a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in November 2010, with eight negotiation rounds completed. CEPA discussions encompass Trade in Goods, Trade in Services, Rules of Origin, Trade Remedies, Customs, and Institutional Provisions. This update was provided by the Indian Minister of State for Commerce and Industry in a written response to the Rajya Sabha.
