Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) is taking proactive steps to encourage corporate employer to join the National Pension System (NPS) for providing pension benefits to their employees.
PFRDA, inter alia, supports its intermediaries in their promotional efforts. PFRDA officials visit corporate, including with intermediaries, for creating awareness and interface with corporate to provide NPS related information/clarifications. PFRDA officials also participate in conferences/seminars/panel discussions organised by intermediaries or by industry associations like CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, PHD Chamber of Commerce etc.
The NPS-Corporate Model was launched in December 2011. The present status of the NPS-Corporate Model as on 19th July, 2014 is as follows:

National Pension System corporate participation encouraged to expand employer-sponsored pension coverage through regulatory outreach and industry engagement. Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority is promoting employer adoption of the National Pension System (NPS)-Corporate Model through support for intermediaries, direct corporate engagement, and participation in industry forums to facilitate employer onboarding, subscriber enrollment, and growth of assets under management in the corporate pension scheme.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
