The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is ₹ 60.1448 and the Reference Rate for Euro is ₹ 81.0173 on July 25, 2014. The corresponding rates for the previous day (July 24, 2014) were ₹ 60.0020 and ₹ 80.6785 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference rate publication sets rupee exchange benchmarks including derived cross currency rates and basis for SDR rupee valuation. Publication of Reference Rates sets the official rupee exchange benchmarks for the day by stating the Reference Rates for the US dollar and the Euro, providing derived cross currency rates for Pound Sterling and Japanese Yen from middle cross currency quotations, and declaring that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published Reference Rate.
