The Government of India today re-appointed Shri Harun Rashid Khan as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, for a further period of two years with effect from July 4, 2014 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Khan was appointed as Deputy Governor on July 01, 2011 for a period of three years from the date of his taking charge or until further orders, whichever was earlier. Shri Khan had taken charge as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank on July 04, 2011.

Deputy Governor re-appointment: tenure extended for two years effective early July 2014, subject to further orders. Re-appointment of the Deputy Governor to a central bank for a further two-year term is announced, effective from July 4, 2014, subject to earlier termination by subsequent order.
