The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.60.1927 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs.81.9065 on June 23, 2014. The corresponding rates for the previous day (June 20, 2014) were Rs.60.2785 and Rs.82.1200 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference rate update sets rupee exchange benchmarks and prescribes derivation of other currency rates from the dollar reference. The Reserve Bank of India published Reference Rate determinations specifying the rupee benchmark rates for the US dollar and the euro, noted prior-day comparisons, and stated that rupee rates for other currencies are derived from the dollar reference and cross-currency middle rates; the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published reference rate.
