of <h1>RBI to Release New Rs. 50 Notes with Inset Letter 'L' and 2014 Date, Existing Notes Remain Valid.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India is set to issue new Rs. 50 denomination banknotes featuring the inset letter 'L' in the numbering panels, part of the Mahatma Gandhi Series-2005. These notes will include the Rs. symbol on both sides and bear the signature of Dr. Raghuram G Rajan, with the year 2014 printed on the reverse. The design remains consistent with previously issued Rs. 50 notes from the same series. All previously issued Rs. 50 notes will remain valid as legal tender.
