Additionally, Rs. 50.34 crore has been allocated to HMT Machine Tools Limited for statutory dues from September 2012 to March 2013. Both entities are under the Department of Heavy Industry. This financial assistance aims to alleviate employee hardships and aid in the companies' revival and restructuring efforts. HMT Ltd., established in 1953, has diversified into multi-technology products with a workforce of 1,439 as of October 2013.
