<h1>CCI Fines Three Engineering Firms Rs. 62.31 Crore for Cartel in Indian Railways Tender.</h1> The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has fined three engineering companies a total of Rs. 62.31 crore for forming a cartel in a tender for the Indian Railways. The penalties include Rs. 1.91 crore for one company, Rs. 5.70 crore for another, and Rs. 54.70 crore for the third, calculated as 2% of their average turnover from 2009-10 to 2011-12. The case arose from identical rate quotes for feed valves in a tender by Diesel Loco Modernisation Works. The companies have been ordered to cease such anti-competitive practices in the future.
