The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.62.6891 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs.84.5780 on February 3, 2014. The corresponding rates for the previous day (January 31, 2014) were Rs.62. 4768 and Rs.84.6022 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference rate publication sets official exchange rates for US dollar and Euro, guiding cross-currency quotes and SDR-Rupee basis. The Reserve Bank of India publishes official reference rates for the US dollar and the Euro, provides derived cross-currency exchange rates for the pound sterling and the yen based on those references and middle cross-currency quotes, and states that the SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the announced reference rate, establishing the RBI's figures as the market basis for conversion and quotation.
