The Union Cabinet today gave its approval to allow Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) to fill up such number of posts by deputation of Group ‘A’ officers of the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) and other ministries who have telecommunication and information technology background for a further period of three years from 01.10.2013. This will be according to Department of Public Enterprises guidelines subject to a maximum of 10 percent of the total number of below board level posts in TCIL.
This arrangement will provide effective and efficient utilization of the pool of technical manpower available in the Department of Telecommunication and other ministries. The decision will enable TCIL to meet its short term requirement of technical manpower.

Deputation of technical officers permitted for TCIL under public enterprise guidelines to address short term manpower needs. Approval permits TCIL to fill posts by deputation of Group 'A' officers from the Department of Telecommunications and other ministries with telecommunications and IT background, subject to Department of Public Enterprises guidelines and a cap of ten percent of TCIL's total below board level posts, to meet short term technical manpower requirements.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
