The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 62.7145 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 85.8228 on January 27, 2014. The corresponding rates for the previous day (January 24, 2014) were Rs. 62.1770 and Rs. 85.0894 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Note : The SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the reference rate.

Reference rate update: RBI publishes foreign exchange reference rates and derived cross-currency exchange benchmarks. The Reserve Bank of India published Reference Rates for the US dollar and the Euro on January 27, 2014, with prior-day comparators, and supplied derived Rupee exchange rates for the British Pound and the Japanese Yen based on the dollar reference rate and middle cross-currency quotes; the release states that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published reference rate.
