The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today released financial literacy material consisting of financial literacy guide, financial diary and a set of 16 posters for use by banks and all other stakeholders in four regional languages, namely, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu and Urdu. The material in Hindi and English was released on January 31, 2013.
Banks are advised to use the financial literacy material while conducting camps as per the operational guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank this January. They may approach the State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC) of respective states for supply of printed material. The material in remaining seven regional languages, i.e., Assamese, Gujarati, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi and Tamil will be released shortly.

Financial literacy materials released in regional languages to be used by banks under operational guidelines and SLBC supply. Banks are directed to use RBI-issued financial literacy materials-guide, diary and posters-in Bengali, Kannada, Telugu and Urdu when conducting financial literacy camps in accordance with the Reserve Bank's operational guidelines, and to obtain printed copies through the State Level Bankers' Committee of their respective states; materials in additional regional languages will be released shortly.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
