The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.62.1024 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs.85.4284 on December 16, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (December 13, 2013) were Rs.62.1266 and Rs.85.4135 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Note : The SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the reference rate.

Reference rate for major currencies published, governing cross currency conversions and SDR rupee valuation for market use. The Reserve Bank of India published official daily reference rates for the US dollar and Euro, compared them with the prior day, and, using the dollar reference and cross currency mid rates, provided corresponding GBP and JPY exchange rates against the rupee; the release also states that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published reference rate.
