The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 61.6200 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 84.9820 on December 12, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (December 11, 2013) were Rs. 61.3313 and Rs. 84.3780 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

 

Note : The SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the reference rate.

Reference exchange rate announced for major currencies, with derived pound and yen levels and SDR rupee linkage. The Reserve Bank of India issued reference rates for the US dollar and the euro and provided previous day comparisons; using the US dollar reference rate and middle cross currency quotations the Bank derived exchange levels for the pound sterling and the Japanese yen, and stated that the SDR rupee rate will be based on the published reference rate.
