Recruitment to Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) is mainly on deputation basis from other government agencies / PSUs as per the decision of the Cabinet at the time of its constitution. Giving this information in written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today, Shri Sachin Pilot, Minister of Corporate Affairs, said that his Ministry is in the process of consultation with Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) regarding permanent staff in SFIO by amending the recruitment rules. Services of seven experts in various given fields like Accountancy, Banking and Law etc., have also been obtained on contract basis.
Recruitment to Serious Fraud Investigation Office shifts from deputation toward creating permanent staff through amended recruitment rules and contract experts. Recruitment to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office is effected principally on a deputation basis from other government agencies and PSUs per the Cabinet's founding decision. The Ministry is consulting the Department of Personnel and Training to amend recruitment rules to permit appointment of permanent staff, and has engaged specialised professionals on contract to supplement investigatory capacity.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
