The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs.61.4100 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs.84.1245 on October 31, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (October 30, 2013) were Rs.61.4871 and Rs.84.4855 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Note : The SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the reference rate.

Reference rate announcement sets base exchange rates for US dollar and euro and informs derived cross rates and SDR linkage. Reserve Bank of India publishes daily reference rates for the US dollar and the euro with corresponding previous day figures to indicate short term movement, and, using the dollar reference rate and cross currency middle rates, provides derived exchange rates for other currencies while noting that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the reference rate.
