The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 61.6929 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 83.6735 on October 15, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (October 14, 2013) were Rs. 61.3036 and Rs. 83.1487 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference Rate update: published rupee benchmarks determine exchange quotations and SDR rupee linkage based on cross currency middle rates. Reserve Bank published its daily Reference Rate for the US dollar and the Euro, provided the prior day's comparative figures, and reported GBP and JPY rupee rates derived from the dollar reference and cross currency middle quotes; it further specifies that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published Reference Rate.
