The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 61.1570 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 82.7795 on October 11, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (October 10, 2013) were Rs. 62.1383 and Rs. 83.8725 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference Rate publication for foreign currencies establishes operative rupee rates and cross-currency-derived exchange rates for market use. The Reserve Bank of India issued official foreign exchange reference rates for the rupee, publishing the US dollar and Euro reference rates and the prior day's figures. Based on the US dollar reference rate and cross-currency middle rates, the RBI provided derived rupee exchange rates for the British pound and the Japanese yen. The announcement states that the SDR-Rupee rate will be based on the published reference rate and identifies the issuing official for the release.
