The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 62.6585 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 84.5955 on September 24, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (September 23, 2013) were Rs. 62.5200 and Rs. 84.6710 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference rate announcement: central bank sets exchange benchmarks for major currencies, affecting cross-currency quotations and linked rates. The Reserve Bank published Reference Rates for the US dollar and the Euro for the business day, compared them with the previous day, provided derived GBP and JPY exchange rates using the US dollar reference and cross currency middle rates, and stated that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published reference rate.
